NARR: The administration is considering a plan to limit flights into JFK and Newark airports. Senator Schumer says the nation’s air traffic control systems need an upgrade. But he says President Bush is opposed to spending the money that’s needed.
Schume “And the administration instead of rolling up its sleeves and doing what it has to do is instead coming up with this ideological plan that makes no sense.”
The Department of Transportation says it is still weighing different options for fixing the delays.
